How to do zinc alloy precision die casting
From:
Back to list
First of all, Desso Die Casting Factory asked you to use "good zinc alloy": good zinc alloy must have the following three characteristics:1. High purity, low content of zinc ingot impurities, based on high purity zinc raw materials.
2. Low melting point: The melting point of good zinc alloy is controlled at 380-390 °C.
3. Less zinc dross: When molten, less zinc dross is produced.
How to identify a good zinc alloy: knock to see the section, if the section is more delicate, generally better.
How to properly store zinc alloy: The storage of zinc alloy ingots in a damp and dirty environment will increase the amount of zinc slag, reduce the effective alloy content, and reduce the quality of die-casting products. Therefore, the environment for storing zinc alloy ingots should be managed.
How to reduce dross:
1. Avoid the agitation of the alloy liquid in the zinc pot as much as possible. Any kind of agitation will cause more alloy liquid to contact with oxygen atoms in the air, thus forming more scum.
2, heating, heating should be uniform, to prevent explosion and local overheating, strict control of the melting temperature, the higher the temperature, the more zinc slag.
3. Don't slag too often. When the molten alloy is exposed to the air, oxidation occurs to form scum, and a thin layer of scum on the surface of the furnace is retained to facilitate further oxidation of the liquid in the pot.
4. When slag is used, use a porous disc-shaped slag slag and gently scrape it from under the scum. As far as possible, avoid the agitation of the alloy liquid, and the slag will be smashed, and the slag will be beaten gently on the side of the zinc pot. , the molten metal flows back into the zinc pot. 5. Control the proportion of material returned to the furnace, and do not return more than 30% of the charge.
